Introduction totheSchool ofBusinessAdministration, Shenyang Pharmaceutical University
The School of Business Administration is the first secondary college established in Shenyang Pharmaceutical University, the earliest department to carry out the training of management professionals in domestic medical colleges, andit is alsothe first college in China to engage in doctoral education in pharmaceutical administration. Thecollegewas founded in 1981 and began to enroll full-time undergraduates in 1987. In 1995, theSchoolof Business Administration was established.In 1994, it began to enroll postgraduate students and doctoral students in 2000. At present, theSchoolhas formed a complete education systemat theundergraduate, master and doctor levels.
The School consists of four teaching and research departments, namely,Pharmaceutical Administration,BusinessAdministration,Marketing, andPharmaceutical Economics.There are 40 faculty members, including 32 full-time teachers. Among the teachers, there are 6 professors, 31 adjunct professors and 12 associate professors. Teachers with doctoral degree account for 73% of the total number of teachers. In addition, the teachers have participated in such organizations asDrugInformationAssociation (DIA),BiotechnologyAdvisoryGroup of the Hong KongStockExchange, Chinese Pharmaceutical Association(CPA), China Society for Drug Regulation(CSDR),Chinese Pharmacists Association,China PharmaceuticalEnterprises Association,Expert Committee on Drug Price EvaluationofNational Development and Reform Commission,theIndustryDevelopmentExpert Committee of the Ministry of Commerce of thePeople's Republic of China, as well as Global Journal of Public Health,Chinese Pharmaceutical Journal, China Pharmacy Zhongguo Yaofangand so on more than a dozen magazines.
TheSchoolnow has 1 doctoral and master degree awarding point ofPharmacy first-level discipline(including one second-level discipline ofPharmaceuticalManagement); 1 master degree conferring point of first-levelBusinessAdministration discipline; 1 Professional Master degreeconferring point, namelyMaster of Pharmacy (PharmaceuticalManagement research direction);3undergraduate majors,namely PharmaceuticalManagement,BusinessManagement,Marketing. At present, theSchoolhas 924 undergraduates, 126 master students and 38 doctoral students. Now, it has trained more than 80 doctoral graduates inPharmaceuticalManagement, accounting for 85% of the total number of graduates in the same major in China, and more than 500 master graduates.
In recent years, theSchool has completed more than 300 research projects of the World Health Organization,the National MedicalProducts Administration, the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Science and Technology, and the Ministry of Education;published more than 2000 academic papersandmore than 230 monographs and teaching materials;won more than 70 scientific research awards; establishedtheResearch Center of Regulatory Science and IndustryDevelopment and the Medical Data Research Center of Shenyang Pharmaceutical University; founded the Asian Journal of Social Medicine.
The college adheres to foreign exchanges. It has established an undergraduate talent exchange cooperation relationship with Alliant University in the U.S.A., and established the International Pharmaceutical Regulatory Education Implementation Committee with China Pharmaceutical University, Fudan University, Peking University, European Regulatory Science Association, University of Macau, and University of Southern California in the United States, and signed a strategic cooperation agreement. It has established educational and technological cooperation with Amgen of the United States, Bayer of Germany and other well-known enterprises at home and abroad.
The Schoolwill closely around the school education aim, to further strengthen the connotation construction, take the discipline construction as the main line, the teaching reform as the core, the comprehensive education as the foundation, based onthe Pharmacy, highlight the characteristics, pay attention tothequality, innovate and develop, and strive to open a new journey of the construction of the internationally famous and domestic first-classSchool ofBusinessAdministration in the field of pharmacy.
